Michael Harding Walnut Oil

Walnut Oil is a paler yellow than linseed oil and has a very mild walnut odour. Similarly to other oils, it is primarily used to increase the flow of oil colours. As Walnut Oil is a paler oil, it is less susceptible to yellowing than linseed oil. Walnut Oil is a slower drying oil, drying in 4-5 days, and can be used to slow the dry time of oil colours. 

• Very pale straw-yellow oil
• Excellent resistance to yellowing and cracking
• Yellows less than linseed oil over time
• Can be used to assist in cleaning brushes
• Dries faster than safflower and poppy oils but is equally favoured for using with whites and pale blue hues

If you find your paints are drying out too fast on your palette, try adding 1-2 drops of Walnut Oil to your paints to slow the dry time.
