Designed for use with medium to heavy-bodied acrylics and oil paints, the Princeton Catalyst 6450 Short Handle Brushes are built to push even heavy gel mediums with confidence. Featuring Catalyst Polytip Bristle technology, these brushes offer a breakthrough in synthetic hair science.

Unlike natural hog bristle, which can lose performance when water-soaked, Catalyst brushes maintain real integrity in water. The key innovation is the Polytip feature—each individual synthetic hair tip is split into 2 to 3 distinct ends, mimicking the “flags” found on premium natural bristles. This design allows Catalyst brushes to hold a higher volume of paint, delivering a smoother and more consistent application.
