What do Posca pens work best on?
Posca markers are suitable for a range of surfaces like paper, cardboard, tracing paper and more! These markers are loved by many artists as the quality water based pigment won’t bleed through paper.
Do Posca pens wash off?
If you want to use Posca pens on surfaces like glass, then you will be able to easily wash it off when you need to correct a mistake. As Posca art markers are water-based, they are permanent and fade resistant when applied to materials like paper, metal, wood, plastic, textiles and cardboard. Note that as Poscas are an acrylic paint, they can be scratched off of surfaces like glass if not sealed.
Are Posca pens the same as other paint pens?
The term 'paint pen' or 'paint marker' is used for a few types of art pens; watercolour ink pens, oil (solvet) based pens, permanent ink markers, and acrylic paint pens. Posca pens contain a water-based acrylic paint, so it's the same as painting with acrylics - but in a pen form! These produce rich and permanent strokes - perfect for painting and drawing!
