Mont Marte Gallery Linen features 450gsm canvas, kiln dried pine stretcher bars and gallery style folded corners.  Linen is preferred by professional artists for its beauty, strength, durability and archival integrity.  Linen is made from flax fibres which are 2-3 times stronger than that of cotton fibres and is less prone to sagging and warping over time.  This is owing to the long length of the flax fibres.  Linen gives a beautiful painting surface and once you try it's hard to go back to cotton.
